This is the most influencing year on my life. I moved to IREN from Sept after more than 15 years of teaching at HUAF. Change is needed if we want to test our capacity.

The year also marked with new collaboration with colleagues at University of Lausanne. Together with UNIL, we’re waiting for the final decision on our proposal ‘forest transition’ submitted by end of Apr (concept note) and beginning of Oct (full proposal). This could be a biggest event in 2017 if we win.

During a week between Nov/Dec, I attended in a lead auditor training course for FM provided by Astracademy. I’ve been waiting for this course so long after 5 years of working with GFA. Now it comes with new standards, and also new strategy  of forest certification in Vietnam. I expect to have more stories on sustainable forest management/forest certification in the following years.

This year I have one book (published by Elsevier) and 1 paper published on Environmental Reviews. This is a good start for a new job, but it needs to keep track and increase next year.
